Hornets are predators, feeding on insects, nectar, and fruit, making them beneficial for natural pest control. However, their sting is more painful than that of wasps due to its high venom content, which can cause swelling, pain, and allergic reactions in some individuals.

They are most active during spring and summer, when colonies expand and workers search for food. Unlike bees, hornets can sting multiple times without dying.
